The Edina Review is built off of the Wordpress 2.7 (well, now 2.8 but it's basically the same) framework. This allows for easy control of all content published on the site. Posts are put into categories that math their content. Be sure to put all posts under the "All Articles" category as well. This allows users to easily view all articles in reverse chronological order if they wish.
About including polls in posts: I think those users marked as "Editors" can use this. To make a new poll, you have to go into Site Admin and on the right look for a section titled "polls." Click the arrow next to it, then hit "Add Poll." This part's pretty easy. When you're done, WordPress will take you to a list of polls. Look for the number next to your new poll. This number is very important for placing a poll in a post. Remember it. In your post, you can then type: [poll id="(your poll's number)"] and the poll will display in your post.
